Working Sick

 Monday, 3.1.21

Hey Everyone!

I may look fine on the surface, but inside, I'm in...pain??? Uncomfortable???

Today would be a perfect example of how I just wanted to throw in the towel on getting a workout in.

I woke up sick yesterday. I take my breaks from working out on the weekends. I'll do yoga to stretch my hamstrings and such. Maybe add some squats and situps--though it's not going well! I'm still round! What can I say? I love food!!!

Okay, I'm not making any sense! That happens to me too!!! 🙄

So, yesterday, I went to the walk in clinic. The people there acted like they've never seen me there before! I was there in early January!!!

Anyway, I got a prescription for antibiotics, and I decided to go to work. I asked my boss if it would be alright if I left early to pick up my Rx. He was like that's fine. I left a doctor's note on his desk anyway.

Today, I didn't have the energy to exercise. I finally hopped on the treadmill around 4pm today. Normally, I would get on first thing in the morning. It's been a thing since December.

It took me two hours, but I got my workout in. Honestly, I am feeling a bit better! I just needed to motivate myself and push myself to just get to walking. Even if it's at a slow pace, I figure a workout is a workout. Low-impact, high-impact. It counts in my book!

That's all I wanted to say!

I think if you are having trouble with getting that motivation to exercise, do something that will entice you.

For me, I really don't watch TV until I'm on the treadmill.

You don't have to watch TV. It could be your favorite songs, an audiobook, a podcast perhaps??? If you find yourself saying no to all of the above, well! Then. I really don't know what else to say!

If you want to do something, you'll do it. If not, you'll make excuses.

My true motivation is to avoid medication as much as possible!!!
